Welcome to Rochester Food Not Bombs' Wiki

Solidarity, not charity, in Rochester NY.

Meals

We serve vegan dinner and drinks twice a week and breakfast with coffee once a week.

Distribution

Meals are distributed for free at the Clinton St. entrance to the Rochester Transit Center and are dropped off at food stands throughout the city.

  • Saturdays 6:30-7:30PM
  • Wednesdays 7AM-8:30AM and 6:30-7:30PM

Helping out

Saturday Cooks

The main event each week, we gather at The Flying Squirrel Community Center at 4PM to cook 75-100 meals. We share them among ourselves and then distribute the majority of the meals.

Please feel free to join us for orientation at 3:30 if you've never joined us for a cook before. All are welcome!

Wednesday Cooks

A slightly smaller version of the Saturday cook, starting at 4:30PM every Wednesday at The Flying Squirrel.

Wednesday Morning Commuter Coffee and Breakfast

Primarily focused on serving coffee in the early morning, we also serve baked goods and PB&J sandwiches at the St. Paul St. entrance of the Rochester Transit Center every Wednesday morning from 7-8:30. Please contact us if you want to contribute baked goods or help with distribution.

Donations

Please see our Donation Guide

We currently are spending money at a faster rate than we receive donations. You can donate via Venmo or donate something off of our Wish list.

Have leftovers from a big party or gathering? We can be sure it winds up in hungry mouths. Contact us to arrange a pickup or drop-off.
